Epitech
Epitech was Steven’s main educational institution in early adulthood. He studied at Epitech Lyon and later used the Epitech exchange structure to spend a semester in California in fall 2018.
Lyon opening
Epitech belongs to the Lyon phase, where Steven moved from the social narrowness of rural Ain into a larger urban environment. The institution gave him a technical path and a city structure at the same time.
The move to Lyon is described in the wiki as one of the points where his life began to open socially. Epitech was not only school. It was the framework through which he entered a wider peer environment.
California exchange
The California semester was part of the Epitech track. Steven later wrote that he had spent the previous years of Epitech not moving toward the exchange quickly enough, then finally reached the “destination de mes rêves.”
California did not transform him automatically, but the Epitech exchange made the confrontation possible. It gave him enough distance from family, rural expectations, and familiar excuses for the “no one is coming” realization to take shape.
Later administrative role
Epitech reappears later as an administrative item rather than a lived institution. In April 2023, during the recovery attempt after the March crisis, Steven listed Epitech enrollment among the administrative tasks he needed to handle.
